2. Visiting this website

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit it, GitHub processes your IP address, the requested page, date and time, browser and operating system in server logs to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, under which GitHub is certified. We use no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Fonts are served from this website, not from third parties.

3. Contacting us by email

If you email us, we process your email address, name and message to answer you (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if it relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Our mailbox is hosted by mailbox.org (Heinlein Hosting GmbH, Berlin, Germany). We delete your messages once your request is resolved, unless statutory retention periods apply.

4. Using the Parseway service

Account and usage data

To provide your account, we process your email address, account settings, API keys and usage data such as pages parsed and decisions run (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We keep this data for as long as your account exists and delete it after termination, unless statutory retention periods (e.g. under tax law) require longer storage.

Documents and extracted data

Documents you upload and the data extracted from them are stored and processed on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in data centers in the EU (Finland). Text recognition (OCR) and AI models also run on this infrastructure. We do not send your documents to third-party AI providers, and we never use them to train AI models.

Your documents and extracted data remain available until you delete them or your account ends. If your documents contain personal data of others, you are the controller of that data and we process it on your behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Payments

Paid plans are sold and billed by Stripe through Stripe Managed Payments (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland, and its affiliates). Stripe acts as reseller and processes your payment details as an independent controller. We receive the information needed to manage your subscription, but never your full card details. Transactional email

We send account emails, such as sign-in links and billing notices, through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA) as our processor (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR), for reasons arising from your particular situation,
• lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Wiesbaden.
